Members of the Yorktown Police, with the assistance of the Westchester County Police, the state police, and state DEEP officers, are investigating the unlawful entry of the unoccupied home in the area of Croton Lake Road and Hayes Drive in Yorktown Heights, on Tuesday, June 15.
Officers, with the assistance of K-9 units, and an aviation unit, were searching the area for a person of interest, described as being a white male, 5-foot-9 to 6-feet tall, wearing a black T-shirt, and blue jeans, Lt. John Delulio of the Yorktown Police said.
During the search, Delulio said officers received information that the man was seen getting into a "red van," that was being driven by a second person in the area of 1440 Croton Lake Road.
Yorktown Police are requesting that anyone with information regarding the incident or the red van contact police at 914-962-4141.
